Warranty Terms and Conditions if you Do Not Have one of the warranty packages

Base Warranty

Terms and conditions

*The warranty period is for 30 days from the date of delivery or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first. However, if you are just outside of the 30-day period, please call us to discuss your options.

Should any mechanical or electrical component prove to be defective, remedial work will be undertaken if we consider it to be necessary. The warranty excludes defects deemed to be a result of fair wear and tear.

If you consider your vehicle defective, you should contact Riverside on 01606 782444 to arrange a vehicle inspection.

In such instances an estimate must be obtained and provided to the general or sales manager Riverside. Only when authorisation has been provided by the manager can the repair proceed. All work must be undertaken in your name only, with the receipted account or invoice forwarded to the manager, accompanied by the vehicle and warranty details.

Vehicles used for hire or reward are excluded from this warranty (including but not limited to taxis, minicabs, rental vehicles and driving school vehicles, Parcel courier).

In the event of remedial work, as per the warranty, a loan car will only be provided when availability permits and at the sole discretion of the general or sales manager. Any associated costs incurred will not be accepted as part of any warranty claim.

This warranty applies to the UK only.

Your statutory rights as a customer are not affected by the above terms and conditions.

 

Cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations

 

Ordinarily we do not run an organised distance selling scheme.

 

However, due to the coronavirus outbreak we need to support our valued customers by delivering your vehicle to your home.

 

If you have ordered and taken delivery of your vehicle without visiting our showroom and you are not buying the car in the course of your trade or business, the following cancellation clause applies:

 

  • You have 14 days to get to know your new vehicle and to make sure it suits you.  If you change your mind just let us know in writing by post Unit 5 Riverside Trading Estate, Navigation Road Northwich, Cheshire, CW81BE 
  • Or in email to riversidefin@gmail.com and to reach us by 6pm on the 14th day following delivery and we will come and collect the vehicle for a refund.  
  • We cannot accept a return of the car if it has been damaged, modified or altered from the condition it was delivered in.
  • An excess mileage charge of £3 per mile for any mileage over 50 miles in those 14 days will apply.  If you do change your mind you cannot use the car once you have notified us - but you must still tax and insure the vehicle until it is collected.

 

This cancellation (change of mind) clause does not affect any separate rights given to you in The Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended).
